The Big Move

It’s been exactly three months since we have finally moved in together as a family and the reason why I’ve been slacking on my blog. We have ventured into the renting side of things and up until January I was still living at home, like most other young people I know. It came to a stage where I needed my own space, indepence and growth.

We took the big move to the beautiful Co.Cavan at the start of January. We have been looking to buy a house here and what better way to do a trial run before we do. So many fears came into my mind. What about if we don’t like it ? I can tell you now that I absolutely love it. I’m a country girl already so I’m used to fields and back roads so that wasn’t going to phase me. Our house is beautiful and we have made it our home.

We have worked so hard to get to this point in our lives. I love being at home with Ava and Ivan, it’s still so surreal for me to even say that. I am completely grateful for everything that has come my way. Of course we all have our bad days when everything doesn’t run as smoothly as we’d hoped. I’ve learned to live with that and I’ve accepted I’m not and never will be the perfect mammy. To be honest it’s made it a lot easier on my days, my self motivation and positivity books/cards are there when I need a pick me up.

So many extra responsibilities that I never had to worry about before such as electricity and heating bills. Internet and tv license (still have to pay that, but only got my tv a few weeks ago so excuse me) bins and the most expensive and important, the rent.
I can safely say we are doing really well. We have our own budget planner set up and sometimes we surprise ourselves. Would definitely recommend every one to have their own. If you would like a quick template, contact me and I will send one on.

Definitely couldn’t do this on my own and a lot of the praise has to go to my partner Pedro. He truly is my rock, best friend , my go to person for anything. He’s a design engineer and you know what they say about engineers , “they’re always right”. Hes made me the happiest I’ve ever been and my love for him will continue to grow. We are looking forward to making Cavan our new home and to enjoy the sceneries, activities and make unmissable memories. I’m glad we made the decision to move. I will end this blog post with a quote from my favourite book “the secret”

When a big change in your life occurs it forces you to change direction. Sometimes the new path may not be easy, but you can be absolutely certain that there is magnificence for you on the new path . You can be absolutely certain that the new path contains things that you could not have experienced otherwise.

When we look back at a negative event that occurred in the past , we often see how in fact it transformed our life. We see how that event directed us toward a life that we would not change for anything
